This sword is a replica of a Jian sword, which is one of the oldest weapons that is still used today for traditional ceremonies. The Jian dates back to the Three Kingdoms era, c. 2,500 years ago. The blade is constructed from spring steel, while the scabbard is wooden with brown finish gloss. The guard is steel with a dragon design. The wood is engraved with a dragon and wisdom ball. A cord connected to fittings on the scabbard allow the sword to be hung or carried. The sword pommel is a traditional ornate devil face, with two tassels hanging.
